36. Zach Wadas, OF/1B, Hamilton HS (AZ) – While Wadas has a wide base and some leg kick, his hips clear the zone well and he has a very advanced eye at the plate. He uses those hips firing to generate massive power and might have the best future power tool of any prep player in the class. He has plenty of power currently and will only add more as he adds to his frame. That adding to the frame will likely lead to him being moved out of the outfield to a pure first baseman, but the bat will be more than enough to play even with that positional limitation.

  Nolan McLean RHP/OF Oklahoma State   2-27-23 - Opening Weekend  - Nolan McLean , RHP/OF, Oklahoma State– The power hitting prospect has shifted from third base to the right field this season where his arm strength/raw power/defense tools profile well. During the Showdown he showed much more plate discipline with six walks against just two strikeouts compared to a 37/107 ratio in 242 at-bats last season. He also blasted a three-run home run to center field to put the Pokes back in the Vandy game, cutting the score to 11-8. It was a loud shot, one that needed earplugs from my seat. McLean is also a power prospect on the mound with a fastball up to 96 and a plus slider. He strong-armed Missouri for two strikeouts in the ninth inning to earn the save in State’s 5-3 win on opening night.
