He is big, strong and just flat overpowers the baseball to produce mid-90s heat. However, his fastball plays much lighter than its velo. The 92-96 played soft and the Razorbacks attacked his fastball, finding barrel after barrel for several 100+ mph EVs over his 1.2 inning start. He allowed five hits, walked one, struck out one. The right-hander also mixed a 86-88 cutter with a 83-84 slider and seldom used mid-80s changeup. Last season Brown tallied a 4.42 ERA in 53 innings, along with 49 strikeouts and 31 walks. The fastball is heavy and it can get up to 92, but usually sits 89-91 with ease and a fluid delivery. It's a bowling ball heater that he commands brilliantly, some calling his feel for the pitch comfortably double-plus. He does, however, possess a slider that is a legitimate weapon.
