2022 stats -  4.42 ERA, 53-IP. 49-K, 31-BB

2-27-23 - Opening Weekend -

Cam Brown, RHP, TCU– Physically, the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder is everything you’d want from a frontline starting pitcher. He is big, strong and just flat overpowers the baseball to produce mid-90s heat. However, his fastball plays much lighter than its velo. The 92-96 played soft and the Razorbacks attacked his fastball, finding barrel after barrel for several 100+ mph EVs over his 1.2 inning start. He allowed five hits, walked one, struck out one. The right-hander also mixed a 86-88 cutter with a 83-84 slider and seldom used mid-80s changeup. Last season Brown tallied a 4.42 ERA in 53 innings, along with 49 strikeouts and 31 walks. This season he will need to become more consistent with his command and not just throw to the middle of the plate. If he’s able to do this, earlier in Day Two is his likely landing spot.

1-19-23 - Top 25 Breakdown: No. 15 TCU

Pick to Click: RHP Cam Brown. Brown is one of the more fascinating, and talented, arms in college baseball. Brown struggled at times with his consistency last season and finished the campaign with an ERA north of four. However, the stuff is simply undeniable. He was up to 97-99 mph with his fastball during fall workouts, while the secondary stuff, particularly the changeup, made some serious strides. Brown has the ability to take a Chase Dollander-type of step forward from one year to the next. Will that happen? We’ll soon find out. But the tools are there for him to be special.

12-12-22 - 2022 Fall Report: TCU

https://d1baseball.com/fall/tcu-2022/

As TCU looks ahead to the 2023 campaign, its success on the mound could legitimately hinge on the arm of righthander Cam Brown.

Sure, that’s a lot to put on the shoulders of any pitcher, but Brown seems ready to take on the payload. Brown is a 6-foot-3, 225-pounder, who certainly looks the part when he takes the mound. Brown tallied a 4.42 ERA in 53 innings, along with 49 strikeouts and 31 walks last season. He has a fastball up to 97-99 mph on the radar gun, and the breaking stuff continues to improve.
